Thank you for the help, it was a positive when I was drowning in the negative’

VOICE AND BODY COACH: The York Management School (University of York).

A series of sessions for York Management School Lecturers on how to look after the voice, how to project and how to engage students in a lecture theatre through voice and presence.  Professor Robert McMurray (Chair of Work & Organisation, Head of the Work, Management & Organisation group) who approached me after the Durham Business School work for my ‘lightness of touch and personal enthusiasm’ (his words, not mine ;).

“Lizi Patch has been an invaluable contribution to our staff development work. Her knowledge and skills have helped colleagues at the University of York Management School better understand how to cope with the stress of work, how to present professionally and how to relate to others with empathetic confidence. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Lizi”

ANIMATEUR: Durham Business School, Durham University: Visualising Enterprise.

The University obtained funding for me to contribute to innovative teaching with undergraduates. Working alongside Professor Robert McMurray I devised games, exercises and masterclasses to enable the 170 students to observe, analyse, understand and articulate organising in action.   They worked in teams of five to produce a short pocket film (5-10 minutes) on organising in which they demonstrate theory in practice.  The theme will was  ‘rationalisation’.

My job was to convey the excitement and importance of ways of seeing and representing the world in ways that go beyond the obvious.

‘Lizi Patch creates a tailor-made experience that will give your students exactly what they need. More than that, though, she finds a way through energy, humour and sheer panache – of helping young people unlock their own creativity: her workshops aren’t about what she does with the students, they’re about what she empowers the students to do themselves.’

Antony Williams, North Yorkshire Coast Creative and Media Lead: Creative and Media Diploma Students.

A fantastic morning’s workshop that left the students feeling energised, confident and willing to tackle any challenge. Highly recommended.’

Spencer Williams, Drama Teacher, Graham School, Scarborough

‘I thoroughly enjoyed working with Lizi Patch today.  I found her inspirational with fresh ideas on the world. Thank you’
